Description

This course is designed to provide information about and practice in the teaching of reading in secondary (6-12) content area courses. Topics will include 1) strategies for developing vocabulary, concepts, and reading skills in specific subject areas, 2) textbook analysis and 3) remedial and developmental reading. Prerequisites: Junior status or consent of instructor. Must apply to teacher education or consent of education department chair.
