Description
Emphasis is on gaining insight into human behavior within a business setting. It includes development of analytical techniques for dealing with superiors, peers, and subordinates. The case study approach will be used extensively. Current and past theories on organizational behavior will be analyzed. As a demonstration of the organizational concepts studied in this course, the class will be run very much like a business organization. Most of the course work will be done through semester-long groups using the classroom organization pedagogy where students apply for and are assigned to play either manager or subordinate roles. Prerequisite: BU221.
