Leadership in the Age of Complexity: From Hero to Host Original post: Sun 11/6/2016 at 7:49 PM

From my experience, sometimes leaders have to do the jobs that no one else wants to do. Sometimes someone has to step up. To be the hero. If no one does something, sometimes nothing will get done. Yes, this leaves us feeling under appreciated and exhausted. But I was taught that we don't need gratification to do good things. We need to do them because its the right thing to do and because it needs to get done. We should never do anything just because we will get praise for doing it.

I agree with you and think that you make some really interesting points especially how you mention that we should not just do things to get rewarded for it.

I agree with you. I think that it is important to do good because we truly want to help someone or to make a difference and not because we expect something in return.
