Leadership in the Age of Complexity: From Hero to Host Original post: Sun 11/6/2016 at 11:21 PM

While I think it is important for people to have heroes to look up to and model behavior after, I think it is equally important for people to help others as a host. I think that both types of leaders are necessary depending on the situation. If a person needs saved from a fire, it is more important to have a hero type leader that will come to the rescue. However, if a person struggling with depression it would be better to have a hero as a host. The host could talk them through the situation and have ways on how the person can help them self.

I like how you give examples of both types of heroes and hosts. I agree with you though, if I was in a fire I would rather have a hero come and save me rather than have a host.
