Description

A basic consideration of standards and objectives, content, methods and materials used in the process of teaching social studies for the K-8th grade levels. Methods include the use of concrete experiences, technology, inquiry, assessment strategies, culturally responsive teaching, and diff erentiated instruction. Pre-service teachers will be required to construct lesson plans and resource units, and participate in whole class, interactive fi eld experiences. Prerequisites: One U.S. History course, one World History, and GO120. Must apply to teacher education or consent of the department chair.
