In high school, I was a section leader in the marching band and we had to go to a band leadership training camp. I found this article really interesting, because for the most part, they taught us the same traits and qualities. Building relationships, communication, listening, working well with others, being positive and being able to motivate others, leading by example, and helping others to grow are skills that can be applied to any leadership position. Whether its in band, or in a sorority or fraternity, in club, in a study group, or in a job, these qualities all help make a better leader.
