this article sticks out to me regarding liberal education. when I look back at my college process, I have a a communications degree and a liberal arts degree and im working towards my bachelors in criminal justice, both field-specific knowledge and skills and a broad range of skills and knowledge are wanted. they want you to have a general knowledge of everything that can help them contribute to the work place other than their major.

With a liberal arts and communications degree I'm sure you have learned a broad level of different disciplines that will eventually transfer and aid you in your career in law enforcement. Ultimately you want to be able to be more than "book smart" and be able to effectively communicate/solve problems.
