Article 1. Original post: Mon 10/24/2016 at 12:25 AM

I hated this article. The read was incredibly similar to a high school student writing a paper on what it is to be accountable, with the inclusion of the definition of accountability, as though the reader has no knowledge on the subject. I really got the public-speaker vibe from this article, like he was trying to motivate his crowd. I disagree almost entirely on his opinion about accountability and depression. speaking on personal experience, that can be a great motivator, when applicable. I don't feel he should speak on behalf of any mentally/emotionally unstable persons, because his arguments sound unreliable and biased. The article is almost like an advert; just super inconsiderate and wrong, for lack of a better word. And, I feel like his portion of finding an "accountability partner" is a bit contradictory. How are you supposed to be accountable for yourself if you are consistently relying on someone to assure your own accountability? 2/10, would not recommend.

I totally agree! Especially with his opinion on accountability and depression. Depression is so much more complicated, and for him to state that not achieving one's goals causes depression is ridiculous, yes, it can contribute, but life is so much more complicated than that. I know many individuals that are very motivated people and are working towards their goals, and still have problems mentally and emotionally. The idea of having someone to help you be accountable sounds very contradictory of you being accountable for yourself.
